About Us

Dimmocks Retreat Wildlife Ltd is a registered charity and critical care facility located in Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands of Australia.
​We work with veterinary practices in providing professional levels of veterinary care​

Charitable purposes are:

(a) Preventing or relieving the suffering of animals through
  • the provision of support and services to animal sanctuaries, rehabilitation organisations, veterinary practices and suitable enterprises and individuals.
  • the mentoring and guidance of individuals and organisations who provide services and support for animals.
  • Provision of services to the community to prevent or relieve the suffering of animals.
(b) Advancing the natural environment through
  • working with the community and disaster relief organisations, including government and non-government to assist with and support operations that provide relief for animals during and immediately after a disaster occurring that impacts on animals.
  • Rehabilitation through the planting of appropriate flora, the provision of shelters and nesting boxes
  • Acquisition of appropriate properties for the conservation of habitat through protection and rehabilitation programs

Who we are:

Greg Pointing AKA Wildlife Nurse Greg

​Greg is our resident and full time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and has trained with Dr Howard Ralph OAM in emergency and orthopedic surgery on wildlife. His passion lies in anesthetics monitoring, and laboratory work. He is currently an RVN at Bundanoon Veterinary Hospital 

He is now a first year student at university on his path towards becoming a veterinarian which continues his passion for animals. Greg has a lifetime 
association and experience with animals and birds.

Greg owns All Creatures Veterinary Nursing currently working with animal sanctuaries with a special interest in horses.
​​​Greg has attended specialist courses in Macropod, Wombat, Bird, Possum & Echidna husbandry practices.

Greg is a member of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia, the 
Australian Mammal Society, Committee member of the VNCA NSW Division, member of the Australian Citizen Science Association and Director of Dimmocks Retreat Wildlife Ltd.


Justine King


Picture

Justine is the Executive Director of Dimmocks Retreat Wildlife Limited and has a long association and experience with animals and birds throughout her life.

She has attended specialist courses in Macropod, Wombat, Possum, Echidna, Birds, Small Mammals, Turtles & Lizard husbandry practices.

Justine has a Masters in Business & Technology from UNSW and 
uses her 20+ years in technology and business management roles to provide oversight to the charity.

Justine is an award winning landscape and wildlife photographer (Justine King Photography).
